Transformation Agile Review: Scaling Digital at Georgian Public Broadcaster
30 May 2022 - EBU

This report is the result of an Agile Review for Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB). The EBU Agile Transformation Review is a ‘problem-based’ intervention, bringing a small team of experts to dive into a specific challenge or issue faced by an EBU Member concerning their larger digital transformation journey.
For the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB), the question is one of scaling. GPB has been working with a digital-first strategy since 2019, steadily increasing the number and reach of digital projects, clocking up success stories along the road, and broadly building digital skills and know-how. GPB now has solid foundations for wider transformation.
As defined in the DTI Playbook (2021) scaling is all about spreading this success, joining the dots, and ensuring new digital activities get turned into deep-rooted organizational and cultural transformation. This means understanding what projects should be scaled, ensuring resources match new priorities, addressing future skills planning, and ensuring the organization is structured for success.
The Digital Transformation Initiative (DTI) has a portfolio of services with the objective to help EBU Members drive their digital transformation and build stronger, sustainable organizations fit for the digital future. Our services involve bringing EBU experts and PSM peers to work directly on PSM transformation strategies. Our services incorporate a review of the operational, technological, organizational and cultural status of the organization based on the DTI Enablers Framework developed by the EBU.
Publishing the review report is essential to the project, ensuring that best practices and operational principles are shared across the Membership, and helping make the case for digital transformation more widely.
