What have been the gender and diversity implications of COVID-19 for media? 36 professionals from 24 EBU Member organizations gathered for a virtual roundtable to discuss 5 signposted issues and share their strategies in addressing them during these unprecedented times, specifically: the rise in domestic violence, increased chores for women, the need to showcase female experts on air or over the airwaves, giving a voice to and reaching the weakest in society, and preventing xenophobia. This report summarizes the strategies and tactics discussed and shared among public service media.
