The Scope 3 Conundrum – Roundtable

Public Service Media takes sustainability reporting seriously. Scope 3 tends to be the largest contingent of the media footprint, but it is also the hardest scope to calculate. What should be included in Scope 3, and how can we reduce the emissions?

The roundtable is an informal session for us all to have a conversation and discussion on Public Service Media's Scope 3. We have some presentations to kick start the session:

  • Michelle Papayannakos, Group Senior Sustainability Manager, BBC. Michelle is a Fellow of IEMA and Group Senior Sustainability Manager at the BBC, leading on sustainability engagement, scope 3 and corporate disclosures. A varied role which entails overseeing the alphabet soup of ESG acronyms including TCFD, TNFD and TPT readiness and CDP. She is passionate about the role the media industry can play in leading to a Net Zero and Nature Positive society using her breadth of sustainability experience to operationalise sustainable change.
  • Jeremy Mathieu, Head of Sustainability, ITV.
  • Vanessa Müller, CEO, ClimatePartner Switzerland. Vanessa is Managing Director of ClimatePartner's Swiss office in Zurich. Thanks to her many years of practical experience and her academic training at the University of Cambridge, the University of Utrecht and the ZHAW School of Management and Law, she has a deep understanding and broad expertise in the areas of corporate climate action and sustainability.
